Run of River (BC Hydro)

Ideal Welders is proud to have fabricated penstock components for numerous Run-of-River projects in Western Canada. We fabricated pieces as large as 120 inch diameter with 2 inch wall thickness, and units were shipped for coating before delivery to the customer, we provided a comprehensive service to support BC’s power and renewable initiatives.

Tilbury LNG Expansion

When FortisBC took on the Tilbury Phase I Expansion, Ideal Welders stepped up to contribute to the fabrication and testing of carbon and alloy pipe spools for various service applications. Also providing essential field services, performing pipe fitting and welding from the T1A Tank to the T1A Base Plant, which included demobilization, retrofitting, torquing, testing, and purging.

Ideal Welders played a key role in our local community by being the mechanical contractor for the Burnaby incinerator since it opened over 25 years ago, During construction, Ideal Welders installed the original boiler pipe work and the cogeneration facility.
